other individuals) for managing 2 token-ring LANs with approximately 170 users. Started
with WordPerfect Office system. Upgraded to Microsoft LAN Manager, then upgraded again to
Windows NT server. Performed user support. Users had Windows 3.1 and some Windows for
Workgroups workstations. Managed access to IBM mainframe via terminal interface controller
[TIC] and 3274 controller. Managed access to MILNET [NIPRNET] via Cisco Router. Managed
cc:Mail accounts, SMTP gateway, cc:Mail remote gateway [dialin], and cc:Mail ftp router.
Managed CD-ROM 4-disk jukebox server. Managed TokenView token-ring management computers.
Managed Administrative workstations running OS/2 2.1. cc:Mail router software was also on
an OS/2 2.1 workstation. Performed access to remote shares in D.C. and Europe via NIPRNET.
Managed IP addresses for network. Primary protocol was TCP/IP; secondary was NetBEUI;
tertiary was DLC. Performed research on setting up 'peer' server LANs for military field
stations running Windows for Workgroups. Performed research on connecting cc:Mail to MS
Mail via SIPRNET. Performed memory tuning for workstations using Micro- soft 'memmaker'.

Performed various programming functions as required in dBase IV and SQL. Worked on project
to convert supply system from Phase IV computer system to more up to date PCs. Project
cancelled when it was discovered that a contract had been let in Indiana to perform this
update. Programmed additional data print functions into a 'turnkey' program delivered by
Army contract. No modification of original software was allowed. Completed a project to
upload supply data from a warehouse PC into Oracle on a Unisys 3000 Unix minicomputer.
Used dBase, batch, VCOMM communications script, Bourne Shell script, awk, odl, and SQL to
complete project.

database from dBase to FoxBASE. Added graphical enhancements. Added improvements to code

for engineers at the directorate. Provided help desk support. Provided technical
assistance to the military LAN/Unix system administrator. Set up user and department
shares. Installed and implemented Higgins e-mail system for intranet. Provided
troubleshooting on problems involved with Ethernet LAN. Used XENIX 3.5 running on Intel
320 workstation as server. Users had MSDOS 3.3 workstations. Set up graphics workstation.

- Pacific Air Forces, Hickam AFB, HI. Completed con- version of software
intelligence package from CROMIX to Unix System V running on Cromemco 68020 machine. Used
C and Fortran for project.

- Army Helicopter Improvement Project, Ft. Hunter-Liggett, CA. Developed
near real-time program to download data from helicopter avionics. Data was recorded onto
videotape with special hardware. Designed a special cable to pass interrupts from the
'black box' to the receiving PC and had it fabricated. Reprogrammed 8259 chip for new
interrupt. Downloaded data and screen printed over 100 different measurements. Data was
downloaded into RAM disk for speed. Plotted geographical coordinates using Lotus 1-2-3.
Used MASM and Borland Turbo Pascal to complete project.
